I’m a nervous wreck when Savvy arrives at the hotel suite I’ve rented the next night. My year-plus of no sexual activity, my weeks of putting Savvy off, my worry and anticipation have all combined to make me a big bundle of nerves. I’ve worked to make everything as perfect as possible. My little apartment is in Kevin’s bar, and her house is where she lived with Kevin. “Hey,” I say as I answer the door. She’s wearing a light sundress, the soft fabric clinging to her fuck-hot curves. My fingers itch with the urge to touch both the dress and what’s underneath.

She smiles at me, her face flushing a touch. I’m pretty sure the “meet me at the Hyatt” request gave my plans away.

“Come on in.” I sweep an arm aside and she steps into the doorway, stopping to gaze at me. Her eyes shine as I lean down slowly and brush my lips across hers.

My voice is husky and my heart is thumping hard and steady. “It’s good to see you.”

She breathes out this little sigh that goes straight to my dick.

“Can I admit something?” she asks as we walk into the room.

“Anything,” I tell her, leading her to the small dining table in the living room where I have the takeout bags on the counter. I stop and put my hands on her hips, spinning her to face me.

She puts her palms on my chest and I get tingly in all the right places. Her plump, pink lips are all I see while she talks, and my cock is growing by the moment.

“I’ve been waiting for this all day,” she says, blushing more and looking down at my chest.

I hold on to her hands, stroking my thumbs across her slender fingers.

“You know I’ve been working through this part of my recovery, right? Figuring out how to be involved with someone and work sex into the equation without going off the deep end?” I ask.

She nods.

“Well, I had a very good session with my therapist yesterday and I think I’m ready. I mean, if you’re ready—”

The words spill out of her mouth in a rush. “Thank God, because I think I might explode if I don’t get into a bed with you soon.”

I look at her, and her face gets pinker by the minute, then I bust out laughing, and she buries her face in my chest.

“Savannah Marie Scott, did you just tell me you’re horny?” I tease, laughing.

A muttered wail comes from my chest.

“Baby?” I ask, reaching down and tipping her chin up so I can see her face.
