Chapter 8

Adam had awakened Amanda twice during the course of the night to resume their love making. She loved that her body was always ready for him when he entered her, and each time he seemed to bring her to new heights. She had never felt such a blissful peace in her life and she cherished each second she had with him.

The morning sun finally streamed through the windows of her bedroom. Amanda stretched and for the first time she could feel the sweet soreness that lingered inside of her body. She smiled as she thought of the way Adam had devoured her. He had opened her body and mind to so many new feelings and experiences she wanted to cry out with joy. Amanda had never felt more complete in her life. She no longer felt the emptiness that once surrounded her heart and threatened to consume her.

Adam could feel Amanda stirring beside him. He was already hard and ready for her again, but that would have to wait. He had a surprise for her this morning and nothing was more important. Last night was incredible and she was extremely receptive to all of his advances. He couldn’t imagine wanting any woman other than her. She fit him perfectly in every aspect of life and if it was up to him he would demand she remain beside him forever. But deep down Adam knew demanding anything from her would get him nowhere. He had to do this the right way.

“Hey Angel,” he whispered in her ear before kissing her softly. When she sat up in bed to face him, it took her a moment to figure out what she was seeing. Tears threatened to bubble over as she picked up one of the hundreds of soft rose petals that covered the bed.

“What’s all this?”

He gently stood up and walked around to her side of the bed. She wrapped the sheet around her and started to get up, but he motioned for her to be seated. When Adam sank down to his knees in front of her, her heart leapt. He pulled a small black box out from under the bed and held it up to her. She reached slowly for it before he gently swatted her hand away.

“Uh huh,” he said with a smile.

“Before you get to see what it’s in the box, you have to fully understand what comes with this. I promise to be faithful in every way to you and only you. You are my one love Amanda, you are my Angel. You may think I’m crazy, but I knew from the moment I saw you, that you were made for me. I promise to love you every single day for the rest of my life. I can’t imagine any woman that would make me happier than you have. I promise to respect you as a person, because you are an amazing woman who has created a wonderful life for herself. I promise to see you as an equal partner every day of our marriage, because you deserve nothing less.
