They landed in Denver and taxied to a private hangar. When the door opened, they saw Josh, Katie, Hope and Jake, smiling and waving. Their bags were loaded while they boarded the jet. While hugs and kisses were being doled out, Mason began to hyperventilate.

Josh noticed it first.

“I think something’s wrong with the tall kid. Rose, you’re a nurse. Give me Jake and take a look at him.”

Rose waved away his concern and continued to coddle the toddler.

“It’s you, you idiot. Mason seems to think we’re rock stars and he’s not sure how to react. He’ll be fine. Besides, his father over there is a pediatrician. He can handle it.”
