Both dressed in suits, hair perfectly placed, and bellyâs full, we headed to FLIP headquarters.
In the car Nayvee asked, âWhat will we be doing today?â
âWell, I have to check emails and such when we first get there, but after, I would like to show you around.â
A bright smile lit up their face. âIâd like that very much.â A few heartbeats passed then, âWhatâs your plan with Rian?â
I grimaced. I liked Rian but I couldnât have her working at my company while under the influence. I wanted to help her. I sighed mightily. âIâm going to sit down with her and try to get the truth, and depending on her answers, I either let her go or weigh her options on how to get help.â I glanced quickly at Nayvee before returning my eyes to the road.
âSounds like a good plan.â
I grimaced, again. âI canât have you in there, though. It wouldnât be professional.â
An impatient sound came from my right. âTrystan, Iâm not clueless, you know. I am aware that it would be inappropriate for the bossâs lover to be present while an employee might potentially be fired,â they finished with an exasperated sigh and a crossing of their arms.
I mentally kicked myself in the proverbial balls. âYou are right, Nayvee, I apologize.â
Their warm hand returned to mine that was rested on the shifter. âSorry for snapping.â
I wondered and hoped that our relationship would progress past the point of us having to apologize constantly to one another. I mentally shrugged. I guess that came with the territory of a new relationship and learning all the buttons that were off limits and the ones that screamed to be pushed.
Once I parked, we walked side-by-side into FLIP and hopped on the elevator. I pressed the button for the top floor. Nayvee was casually leaning against the wall with their hands tucked in the pockets of their black dress pants, loosened tie, hair styled messily. I squinted as I raked my eyes over them feeling aroused but also with a sense of familiarity. They suddenly resembled Leonardo DiCaprio from that re-take for Shakespeareâs Romeo and Juliet but with blonde hair. I most certainly was not opposed to the look.
Nayvee must have sensed my ogling them because their eyebrow lifted as they glanced in my direction. âSee something you want?â
I chuckled because I had used a similar line on them once. âAlways.â I gave them a hard stare.
All I got in return was an amused smirk with more of that mischief in their twinkly eyes, as if to say âchallenge accepted.â
They licked their lips. âHad to be all the way to the top?â
Never letting up on my hardened glare, I replied, âBest and only place to be.â
With that response, Nayvee re-positioned putting their back against the elevator wall and un-zipped their pants, silently inviting me over. It was all I needed. In two long strides I punched the stop button halting the elevator then grasped Nayvee by the hips and pressed myself hard against them and went in for their pretty opened mouth.
