Clinical Case
A 31-year-old woman presents for evaluation in the 8th week of her first pregnancy. She is feeling well, apart from mild nausea and new fatigue. She has no past medical history and is taking no medications other than a prenatal multivitamin. There is a history of Graves’ hyperthyroidism in her maternal aunt and rheumatoid arthritis in her mother.
