Blazing Brisket

Try the blazing brisket at the dinner as the fish is infused with an amazing blend of Hungarian spices. Serve warm with your favorite sauces.

Ingredients (4 servings)

2 ½ pounds beef brisket

1-pound bacon, sliced

2 ½ cups brewed coffee

2 tablespoon salt

½ cup butter

¼ cup garlic, minced

¼ cup shortening

½ pound fatback, sliced

1 sweet potato, quartered

½ cup olive oil

2 tablespoon horseradish

Preparation

Wrap the brisket with bacon and place it in a baking dish. Drizzle the salt on top and pour the coffee on top. Cover and marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Sauté the garlic with butter in a saucepan over low heat until golden brown. Spread the shortening in a baking tray, add sweet potatoes, marinated brisket and pour the garlic butter on top, then cover with a foil. Roast the roast and potatoes for 4 hours at 325 degrees F in the oven. Mix the horseradish with the oil in a saucepan and cook for almost ½ hour on low heat. Slice the baked brisket and serve with the sweet potatoes and horseradish. Enjoy.
