CHAPTER I

Albion Moonlight sat on a rock by the sea. He was eating an

orange and figuring out his income tax. An old man hobbled by

and said: "What an insidious sunburn you have!"

Albion answered: "Did you ever hear of a Norwegian angel?"

The palpitating biscuit rubbed some more elderberry jelly into

its womb . . . spermatozoa coagulating in cabalistic delight. But I

do not now anticipate a love affair between the paper dog and the

quaint anthropomorphism of the well-sprung eagle which sits at

the right testicle of Jesus Christ.
