Chapter 10

The High Council meeting had been brought forward to accommodate the upcoming deliveries of Adia and Tehya. Adia was anxiously awaiting Urilla Wuti, Nootau, and Iella. She longed to hear how Nootau’s training was going and if he had managed to enter the Dream World at will. She struggled to keep her mind off Oh’Dar, praying that the visit from the Webb offspring would be enough to win his freedom.

Though the gathering was still a couple of months away, the community was starting to prepare for the guests. The High Council meetings would now be attended by the People’s Leaders, their Healers and Helpers, and the same from Haan’s community. All Brothers who wanted to attend were also welcome from now on. It would take everyone working together to secure Etera’s future.

Adia was also looking forward to the assembly of the Healers that Urilla Wuti had planned. Only the tragedy of Oh’Dar’s arrest tainted her anticipation. But by now, Oh’Dar’s friends, Grace and Ned, were well on their way back to testify that Miss Vivian and Ben were alive and well.

Nadiwani interrupted her thoughts. “I am anxious to hear how Tehya’s seeding is coming along.”

Tehya and I will deliver not far from each other,” Adia said.

“And Acise as well. How wonderful to have three new offspring added to our family circle! An’Kru will have plenty of friends to grow up with.”

“Don’t forget the Sarnonn Guardian females,” Adia added.

“What an influx of offspring!”

“You said it a while back. Tehya, Acise, me, the six. It heralds something, I am sure.”

“What do you think will happen when at the appointed time the twelve Sarnonn Guardians come together with An’Kru?”

“I assume it will be part of heralding in the Age of Light? Obviously, something will happen, but who knows what. Given that Pan is taking him away in seven years’ time, it will not be until after he returns. I wonder how old he will be then,” Adia said quietly.

“I am sorry I brought it up. I know it hangs heavily over your head. Maybe having another offspring will help.”

“It will be wonderful to have another, but one cannot replace the other.”

“I know. I was just trying to find something uplifting to say.”

Adia looked at Nadiwani, “Thank you for being such a good friend.”
