“Keira, I don’t know about this,” Charisma complained, looking down at the violet dress her best friend had talked her into wearing. “I want to look sexy for Dave, but isn’t this dress a little over the top?”

“You came in here less than an hour ago thinking I was somewhere with your man and demanded to know what the two of us were talking about over dinner,” Keira snorted, walking around her, fixing the short hem of the nightgown that doubled as an appropriate dress in her best friend’s eyes. “I thought you would be thrilled to know that Dave is waiting for you in his room.”

“I’m glad he’s there waiting for me, but I don’t want to give him the wrong idea,” Charisma exclaimed, slapping Keira’s hand away from her leg. “Stop messing with that piece of thread.”

“Sorry, but I only want you to look good since you won’t be coming back here tonight,” Keira defended, holding up her hands and taking two steps back.

“What makes you think I’m going to spend the night with Dave?”

“Honey, you’re leaving in the morning to go back to California. Do you actually think that guy of yours isn’t going to make your last night here out of this world?”

She shrugged one shoulder and picked up her bag off the night table. “I think you’ve been watching too many romance movies,” Charisma told her on the way to the door.

“Don’t worry. I put plenty of condoms in your purse,” a voice filled with laughter taunted her as she went out the door, snapping it shut behind her.

“Wait until Keira finds a man. I’m going to torment her the same way she’s doing me,” Charisma groaned on the way to the elevator, ignoring the looks of an attractive bellboy who stopped 95

and stared at her. She wasn’t interested in a boy when she had a sexy-as-hell man waiting for her.
