"So are you going to take me home or what?" Xia comes up next to me.

"What? Why are you going home? This is a celebration for you as well. You were stuck in that elevator with me." I say, giving her a great excuse to stay, but in all actuality I really just don’t want her to leave.

"I know I'd like to come back if that's okay, but …" She looks around before she leans in and whispers to me, "I did pee in the corner of an elevator and I've had these same clothes on for a while. I need to go home and shower."

I chuckle before I nod my head. "True, yeah. I'll get one of the trucks and take you home. Wait, are you in Baton Rouge?" That is about an hour's drive from where we are. I'm fine with it, but she might not want to make that trip.

"No, I moved not too long ago to Elmwood, not that far, about twenty minutes from here. I can cab it if you need to do things here." She says and tries to back away.

"I don't. Let me get the keys and we'll be on our way." I tell her and turn to look for Pirate. I'd take his truck. I see him and Delia walking up to their room, and I know if I don't get them before that door closes I'll never get those keys.

"Pirate! Hold up."

"No!" Delia barks at me.

"Lia, shhh. I thought you were going to be good for me, babe." Pirate says softly to her and I see her pout slightly. The way he calm her down is amazing.

"Sorry, you two. Pirate let me get the keys to the truck." I put my hand out and wait for him to drop them.

"You leaving?" He reaches in his pocket and drops them in my lap, "I figured you two would stay for the party. You being alive is part of the reason we're even doing this shit." He shrugs.

"We are coming back. Xia just wants to go home and get changed."

"And have some of you." Delia chuckles.

My eyes jerk down to hers. "What are you talking about?"

"Shyne, sweetheart, are you not seeing how that woman is looking at you? Has it really been that long?" Delia raises an eyebrow at me and I turn to look at Xia who is standing at the door waiting for me.

"That girl is going to eat you up." Delia laughs and walks into Pirate's room.

"What?" I look at Pirate, who just laughs and follows his woman into the room. Did I miss something? Sure, I mean being in that elevator had catapulted us much closer than I would've normally gotten this quickly, but she's only been friendly with me. My advances have been one sided so far, only coming from me. So I'm not sure what Delia is talking about.

I push the thought from my mind and rush over to Xia. "You ready?" I ask her.

"Yup, let's go." She nods and we walk out.
