Dear Sister Callista and Sister Agnella,1

You will surely be satisfied if I write one thank you Letter to both of you. You can well imagine that I have even more letters to answer now than you remember from Christmas.

How happy I would have been to have you present on this great feast day. There were many faithful friends here, but I knew even more who could not come and who would have wished with all their heart to participate. What is of greatest importance is, of course, that you shared in the day’s wealth of graces. I guess I may send you the booklet with the ceremonial for the Clothing. Then you can imagine everything more clearly. Father Archabbot <Raphael Walzer> had the Mass and gave the homily and, with mitre and staff and accompanied by all the assisting priests, came to conduct me into the church. Our kind Provincial <Theodor Rauch> presided at the Clothing ceremony. The photos will help to illustrate this a bit. The holy cards are for the two of you, then for the dear Mothers (Adelheid and Fidelia), for Srs. Amica, Ignatia, Domitilla and the other Sisters known to me, finally for Rev. Fr. Husse,2 Anneliese Lichtenberger3 (from whom I’ve heard nothing for many months) and Fräulein Perignon.4 If there are not enough, please write to me.

My mother knows nothing of the Clothing ceremony. My siblings all wrote on the occasion; Rosa <Stein>5 keenly regretted not being able to come. She gave me the silk for the bridal dress, which will now be made into a chasuble.6

In caritate Christi, your

Sister Teresa Benedicta a Cruce, OCD

[P.S.] Your dear Mother Prioress will be happy to hear that a niece of Canon Schwind7 came to the ceremony.
