That evening Russ found it harder than ever before to leave Will's side as they sat together by the fire. His eyes kept searching for any glimpse of Will bathed in firelight. His hands wished to stray toward Will's golden skin and soft hair. He was so eager for a touch of him, the need was nearly painful.

"I've never felt so right as when I'm with you," Will said suddenly and Russ turned to stare at him in amazement.

"Nor I," Russ stated. Now he couldn't hold back but took hold of Will's hand, wishing that he never had to let it go.

"Is it strange that I sometimes dream of you?" Will asked uncertainly as his voice grew thick.

"I dream of you, so I suppose not," Russ said with a smile as he wondered what sorts of dreams Will might be having.

"But I dream of you overmuch," Will said.

"I dream of you every night," Russ said, not to be outdone.

Will looked over at him and grinned. He seemed happy to know that he was in Russ's dreams, but to think that Will dreamed of him as well... As if to show him the truth of it, Will slipped his hand over Russ's, stroking his palm and making his skin tingle all over. Will then threaded his long fingers with his, and Russ discovered that even the touch of his hand could be ecstasy.
