Chapter 10

Spencer

Spencer took her time washing up and getting ready for bed. She had a feeling she wouldn’t be getting much sleep anyway, so what was the rush? She wasn’t lying when she told Jordan she was tired, but she had way too many thoughts swirling around her head to actually fall asleep. She decided to just read instead, but after rereading the same line about twenty times, she determined that was useless as well.

She sighed as she sat the book back down on the nightstand. She forced her eyes shut because she figured attempting to sleep was better than nothing. This only lasted a few seconds before her eyes shot back open to the sound of her bedroom door creaking open.

Penny? She blinked her eyes to focus across the room, but the person coming through the door definitely wasn’t Penny. “Jordan? What are you doing?”

Jordan giggled as she slowly shut the door behind her. “Sneaking into your room.”

“I see that, but why?”

Jordan paused for a moment and shrugged. “For old times’ sake.”

“Are you sure that’s such a good idea? You never were very good at sneaking.” Spencer couldn’t stop the smile that came to her face as she re-lived this memory.

Spencer couldn’t be positive since her room was dark, but she was pretty sure Jordan rolled her eyes at that comment. “Oh my god. It was one time.”

“It was the first time you met my parents. While you were staying at their house.”

“Shit. Yeah.” Jordan giggled into her hand as if she was that college freshman all over again. “I honestly don’t know why your parents liked me after that.”

“Right? You were literally deflowering their little girl right under their roof, which was a blatant disregard of their rules.”

“Aw, come on, babe. That’s not completely true. You were already deflowered. Remember? I took care of that a few weeks earlier.”

Spencer’s body heated up at the memory (and the fact that Jordan had just called her babe), but no, she couldn’t allow it to. “Why are you doing this Jordan?”

Jordan took a few steps closer to Spencer’s bed then stopped. “Because that kiss in the bathroom was amazing, and I can’t stop thinking about it.” Two more steps. “I can’t stop thinking about you.” It only took Jordan three more steps before she reached the side of Spencer’s bed. She hesitantly reached for the comforter. “I can’t stop thinking about us.” Apparently taking Spencer's silence as permission, Jordan moved the comforter and got into the bed. “We were so good together.” She rolled over so she and Spencer were face to face, making Spencer forget how to breathe. “Our bodies always fit together so perfectly. No one has ever come close to getting me to feel the things you did.”

Is that all this was about? Was Jordan only concerned about sex right now? Was Spencer nothing but a good orgasm? Did Spencer care?

Tomorrow she probably would, but right now the answer was hell no. She needed this too. She was pretty sure she needed this more than she had ever needed anything in her entire life.
