CHAPTER 4
I wiped my hand on the paper napkin and threw it in the almost empty pizza box. âShit, Iâm stuffed.â I cast a glance to Mitch, who sat beside me. He was angled slightly, one leg drawn up, leaving his knee brushing against my thigh.
âYouâve still three slices left.â He shook his head. âIâm kinda ashamed of you, man. Youâve been living in the US for Christâs sake. Donât they have huge portions out there?â
I grinned. âNot every place in America is like that. And I like to keep fit and healthy.â I patted my full, flat stomach.
When Mitch dropped his gaze to my chest and let it continue to roam around my body, I laughed. His eyes sprung back up and met mine. âWhat?â
âYou seriously checking me out right now?â
A self-satisfied smile stretched his mouth. âHell yes. Youâre the one who all but invited me to check you out with your âfitâ comment.â
I snorted. âIt was not an invite.â Okay, it may have been a small invite and said with forced offhandedness to encourage him to check me out. Maybe.
âI still know when youâre bullshitting me, Shaun. Feel free to whip off your shirt if you want me to give you a more thorough inspection. Itâs only right that I get to determine just how fit you are. To be honest, it would be rude of you not to.â
My laughter was loud. It burst free quickly and naturally. Rightness settled in me. God, I really had missed him so bloody much. âYou want me to take my top off?â I quirked a brow at him.
He narrowed his eyes, assessing me, though a twinkle of humour still played in their depths. âIâd be more than happy for you to strip and let me suck your dick.â
I choked on my breath, my eyes springing open so wide I was concerned Iâd strained them. âShit, Mitch. Say it like it is.â
That same smile played on his lips. âYouâd be disappointed if I said anything different, right?â
âWell, I wasnât quite expecting those words.â My cock pulsed in my jeans at the thought of him sucking me off.
Mitch rolled his eyes. âYou know I talk straight.â I raised my brows at that. âYeah, yeah, what the fuck ever. You neednât talk, and you know exactly what I mean. Other than the whole shit between us, you know Iâm a straight shooter.â
It was true. In many ways, it was probably also the reason why Iâd remained clueless about his changing feelings for me and why I hadnât even for a second expected for our goodbye or his deception to have played out the way they had. Not a lot had changed about Mitch. While he was broader and I expected a lot more toned than his younger self, his personality, his integrity lined up with the Mitch I knew and loved.
âSo what do you say?â
My eyes were seriously going to pop out of my head. I gaped, then slammed my mouth shut. âI want
