Days 33 & 34

As Jason woke next to Hazel and Rebecca, he smiled at seeing them start to stir and wondered just what they expected of him that day. He still had no idea just what a date after the world was RPG’d would be like, but he was looking forward to finding out. However, before that, he knew that they would need to go over their most recent level up and so, as he sat up, he prodded them to wake up. Though that only resulted in the pair of them trying to wrestle him back down to snuggle with, a fate he was more than happy to embrace, at least for a little bit while he started talking.

“So, how did your level ups go?”

“No talking, just snuggling,” groaned Rebecca.

“Nope, if you want snuggles, you’ve got to talk.”

“Fine, I am a level 11 bard now, end of story.”

“What new spells did you get and what question did you ask?” teased Hazel.

“Whose side are you on?” retorted Rebecca. “If you must know, I got a new level 1 spell that will make disguising myself easier and a level 4 spell for destroying enchantments. That way, I can start helping all of those who were cursed by the mummies yesterday, since it will work on curses as well. As for my question, well, I asked why I could see the option to select from available advanced classes, but when I looked at it, none were shown. Turns out that if you don’t meet the requirements for any of them, you can’t even see them and details of what you’re missing out on, or what you need to unlock them. I also added a feat that will make moving through combat safer for me. There, now can I go back to pretending that I can just stay like this forever for a bit longer?”

At Rebecca’s grumbles, Jason held in a laugh, and Hazel started to speak.

“I also found no options under the advanced classes, but I didn’t really care about them as I am going druid all the way. As for spells, I unlocked level 6 ones and got one level 3 one added to my list. For the level 3 one, I picked up one that will let the whole party climb as if we were Spider-Man. As for my sixth level spells, well, I got my domain spell that will repel all wood in a 60-foot line for a minute per level, so any enemies with wooden gear like arrows, or axe handles will be affected. Then I took a spell that can counter, or end enemy spells with greater efficiency than my level 4 version of the same spell can.”

“Have you even used your level 4 version of it?” asked Jason.

“Yes, though you wouldn’t notice as I am limited with all my spells and most of the time you’re focused on your own fight as you get into the thick of things. My other spell will let me turn
