Chapter 10 – Today a Queen

The day dawned so beautiful and bright and the Queen Mother was elated that they planned the wedding outside in the iblan romay and gazebo area. Tents draped with gorgeous white silk, ribbons and lace looked like a dream blowing in the gentle breeze. The white and silver Chinese lanterns decorated in the most exquisite crystals hung from tent poles and intermittent tiny fairy lights twinkled in the bright sun light. The whole garden looked like a fairytale. Chairs draped in matching white silk with large bows adorned with lace hung from their high backs. Each chair looked as if it were wearing a ball gown. Decorated with tiny seed beads and crystals. For the isle, the grass was covered with a push button rolling deck floor for the occasion that had been polished to a high shine. The gazebo where the ceremony would take place was covered in green ivy with tiny white roses and silk skirted the bottom portion of the structure to blend nicely with the tents and chairs. The flowers of the iblan romay were tended by the Tandorian Gardeners who came specifically to decorate the garden for the wedding. The flowers they cultivated had smooth large petals and fresh scents that gave the whole event a dreamy feel. The white roses that were now ten times their normal size glistened with dew in the new early morning light. This was going to be a very special day. One everyone would remember.

This wedding took on the feel of what the books of old called a wedding ceremony. Everyone agreed to forgo the long and boring royal ceremony and had opted for a storybook dream wedding. When it was time for the wedding to commence Jhehsay, Overton and Jhordon would stand at the front as groomsmen while Shanden waited for his bride to join him where he stood on the lower step and not on the stage as normal. Until then, Jhehsay, Overton and Jhordon seated specially invited guests on the side they chose. Left for the bride and right for the Groom. In this case Shanden was Mr. Right on both counts.

The whole event would be televised in both Elcagiers and the Iniqua Bae. All those interested in watching a royal wedding would be glued to their televiewers with their snacks and drinks on hand so they wouldn’t have to miss a minute of it.

Jhehsay escorted Shanelle and Tara to the groom side of the seating area while Shanden escorted Atari’s parents to the front row of the brides section. In the foyer the Queen Mother was introduced to Overton’s betrothed, Espezara Quantasia and her Ladies in Waiting Siara and Kiara. The Queen Mother greeted them respectfully but she could tell something was off about Quantasia. She just couldn’t put her finger on it. However, for her son, she put on a happy face.

Biori who was standing guard saw his fiancé enter. Tahlia looked beautiful in her baby blue gauze head
