Knight loved him.
Whoa. Just whoa.
Rook looked up at Bishop and grinned. “Did you hear that?”
“I did.” Bishop crouched next to him, watching him and Knight both. “Do you love him back?”
Rook didn’t really have to think about it, his head nodding automatically. That made him catch his breath and he tilted his head and really thought about it. Did he love Knight? Yeah, yeah, he did. It was more than just amazing sex—which it totally was. It was…yeah, love. “I do.”
“Maybe I ought to leave, huh? Sounds like you two have things to discuss.”
Rook again nodded without thinking. “Not that we wouldn’t have a blast if you stayed, but…” He shrugged. “We need to say it again and fuck, then do them both over again.” Maybe even eat at some point.
“Yeah.” Bishop looked at them both, then gave him a smile. “See you around, kid.”
“I’m sure you’ll have to chase us off the roof again soon.” Rook laughed and touched Bishop’s thigh, the muscle there impressive, making him want to lick. “Don’t be a stranger.”
Just because he and Knight loved each other, didn’t mean they couldn’t play together with the hot landlord, right? He guessed that would be something they had to talk about.
“Yeah.” Bishop headed out without another word, without another look, and Rook got the feeling that he’d just lost something important.
He watched the door for a long moment, then shook himself and cuddled into Knight, sharing body heat.
He’d wait to get undressed until their food had come, then if Knight hadn’t woken up, he’d simply strip and cuddle. It wasn’t like the food wouldn’t keep. Nuzzling in, he licked at Knight’s skin, taking a taste of the first guy he’d ever said I love you to and meant it. Well, except for the part where he hadn’t actually said it yet.
He would, though. He totally would. In fact, he wanted to wake Knight up, just so he could tell him. That would be mean, though. God knew when the last time Knight had actually slept was. Nothing like a little interruption and a good orgasm to make a man comatose.
Rook giggled softly and whispered, “I love you too, Knight.” He really did. Really.
Wow.
