The other photograph was of a vase of flowers, which was to be set at the end of the pamphlet according to her will and testament, after the words of a poem she had chosen to be read. I fail to remember the poem and, as there were only two other people at her burial – one being the priest – it wasn’t even read out as the dirt was thrown on top of her coffin. I remember two very particular things from when I threw my clump of soil. The first is that I had lapses in perception again, and was momentarily plagued once more by the sounds of fluttering. Such a sound had an accumulative effect upon my visual perception, which again seemed to see the wings of dead moths fall and float down into the grave like snow.
