Geoff closed the front door and leaned against it with a sigh. Travis was the last of the guys to go home. Everyone had helped clean up the living room, but he and Troy still needed to get the kitchen straightened up and start some laundry before their men got home.

He pushed off the door and wandered into the kitchen to see what he could do, where he was treated to a nice view of Troy standing at the kitchen sink, soft sweats sitting low on his lover’s hips. He leaned in the doorway and let himself look. “Travis just left.”

“I think everyone had a good time, don’t you?” Troy shot him a grin that was a little tired, a little pleased, and a lot peaceful.

“Pretty sure they did. I did too.” He moved closer and leaned on the counter next to Troy. “I could use a nap, I think.”

“Yeah? Go ahead, honey. I’ll finish up here. It won’t take two shakes of a dead lamb’s tail.”

Geoff leaned in and kissed Troy’s cheek. “I didn’t say that to make you clean up by yourself. Did you get all the dishes from the living room? You want me to go look?”

“I’m pretty sure I did, love. If you want to check?” This smile was sweet as honey, and so warm.

“Be right back.” He let his fingers trail over Troy’s ass on his way by. He found one coffee mug that someone had left up on the mantel, and he brought it back with him. “Almost everything. Was Ben adorable last night or what? He’s so young.” The odd truth was, Ben wasn’t much younger than Saul.

“He is, but he’s a good kid, and he’s stupid in love with Doc.” Troy washed the mug and set it up to dry.

That was for sure. Ben was devoted. “It was like inviting your little brother to a sleepover, right?”

“Exactly. He’s the sweetest thing, but damn. Damn, he’s the most innocent man I’ve ever met.” Troy put the dishtowel down.

He looped an arm around Troy’s middle, grinning. “Were you ever that young?”

“Nope. Well… maybe when I started riding…”

“So not for long then?” Troy had a childhood, but Geoff knew he hadn’t been able to be a child for long.

“Nope. Long enough, I reckon.”

Geoff didn’t like to think too far into his own past, so he moved the conversation on. “The guys are shopping today and won’t be back for hours.”

“Mmm…” Troy lifted his face for a kiss. “You got plans, honey?”

Oh, God. So pretty. “No.” The only plan he had was to take that kiss. He caught his lover under the ear with his fingers and brushed Troy’s lips with his own. “You want to make some?”

“You can so convince me, ’specially if they’re naked plans.” Troy leaned into his hand, relaxing into his touch.

“Naked plans work for me, honey.” He kissed Troy lightly, just tasting, taking his time. They hadn’t had much chance to savor each other, but with the guys gone, he didn’t have to compete for Troy’s attention.
