Chapter 27: Everything is settled

"No, why are you completely naked!?"

Sam, sensing Gunther's magical power, knew he was alive. However, he shouted in frustration, not expecting Gunther to appear entirely naked.

"Huh, hehehehe, that's wonderful. That's an incredible ability, Sam. You not only destroyed the barrier I put up with all my strength, but you also managed to avoid killing me in the end. However, you’re the type to conceal it within your suit. It would’ve been dangerous without that barrier."

Gunther had improved his defense and barrier techniques, preventing him from suffering serious injuries. At most, there were only a few tears, and his clothes had burst instantly.

Sam felt greatly relieved by Gunther’s promise.

He truly felt relieved, no longer worried about his safety.

Gunther’s shout sent a chill down Sam’s spine. His eyes sparkled as he looked straight at Sam.

"You will be my husband."

"………What?"

"Hehehe, I promise to be a wonderful wife. I will support you and do my best for you."

"No, no, no, no, that’s not what I meant! That’s not what I want! I don’t dislike the idea of being a wife, but I absolutely refuse!"

Previously, she had no intention of marrying a man. Aside from that, she was sorry for this perverted stalker. But Gunther didn’t listen.

"I won’t back down. I understand. You want me to see you as Sam, not as Ulrike’s replacement, right? Then you can be at ease. Gunther Ignaz truly admires Samuel Scheidt and has promised to do his best."

Sam’s shout echoed throughout Count Walker’s courtyard. He should have felt victorious, but instead, he felt as though he had lost.
