BARTHOLOMEW

The young man standing in front of me wasn’t what I expected based on the message Laszlo had sent our group months ago. He was, as promised, sexy as fuck if one liked waifish twinks, and I did. He had dark hair which curled on top, pale skin with a smattering of freckles, and he was small, certainly no taller than five foot six. But none of that was what was unexpected. What surprised me was that he seemed smaller than he should, like he’d drawn himself into a protective shell. There was none of the seductive arrogance I’d expected. Did that mean he truly felt remorse for what he had done?

Either way, I intended to teach him some discipline. I’d expected to encounter resistance, wicked, delicious, bratty resistance that I would easily overcome with spanking, edging, and other delights. But now, I rather thought this defeated young man might simply accept everything I dished out. That wouldn’t be nearly so entertaining. Could I give him discipline and bring his spirit back? That would be an added challenge.

I’d start off as I’d planned and go from there. I was used to amending things as I went. No project ever developed exactly as predicted. What would be the fun in that anyway? I’d try some techniques, analyze them, and discover what I needed to do next to get the results I sought. Having a human subject to work on was certainly more interesting than the marketing graphs I’d originally sentenced myself to for the afternoon.

“I’m going to explain what I will expect of you. When I’m finished, you can either agree to my terms or you are free to go.”

“Yes, sir.” Pierre kept his eyes cast down. His voice was soft and reticent, like he’d already been broken. I’d thought to break him myself, but this level of meekness wasn’t what I was after. I stepped closer as I continued to study him, and he shivered under my scrutiny. He looked afraid, and I didn’t want that.

“I will not hurt you in any way you don’t consent to. Do you understand that? I expect discipline and obedience from my employees and my bed partners, but they always have the choice to leave. Do you understand?”

He raised his eyes to mine. I wanted to banish the pain and sadness in those dark depths and replace it with passion or even defiance. That I knew how to work with. I contemplated what to do. I could send him away or simply give him a boring job, but I didn’t want to do that either. I was drawn to him. I wanted to understand what was going on inside him. Why had he been so cruel to Laszlo and Roman? Why did he seem so unsure now?

He was a puzzle. Maybe he was what I needed to rid me of my current plague of boredom. Could I find a way to teach him discipline, punish him for having been so selfish, and also make him enjoy it? Of course I could.
