Then Edna stood up and pointed at Edwin as she added, “As an attorney, I wish to emphasize that gambling is not only a club rule violation but is illegal in this state as well. These members not only are a terrible influence for our children, but are also putting the club at risk, allowing a high stakes card game here on club property.”

Edwin smiled as he asked, “High stakes card game? How exactly did you obtain that piece of information? Did someone witness us playing for cash?”

Edna threw her hands up in the air as she replied, “It is common knowledge that you play for thousands, tens of thousands every damn hand.”
