THE VOICES COMING THROUGH my phone are giving me a headache. I’ve been on this conference call for the past two hours, and nothing is working. No one wants to fucking listen, and I’m ready to cancel my contracts with these assholes.

“Gentlemen, please calm down.”

“Sharp, the cameras. We need to upgrade the system, but first we have to reset—”

“No! We will not be resetting anything. The potential damage is too great. Figure it out!” I hang up the phone and my mother comes in.

“Need Advil and coffee?”

“Yes.”

“All right. Be right there.”

I send an email to Taylor asking her for an update and the reports. I need to know what the fuck is going on with my company.
