Add four vertical ovals to establish the thick portions of the legs.

The two ovals (for the thickness of the thighs and the shoulders) placed at the front view should overlap at least a half of the other two ovals positioned at the other side. Remember that the back legs are relatively thicker than the front legs because of the muscular thighs that basically becomes the outline of the dog’s backside. Use the ovals as a guide for completely defining the entire length of the limbs.

Add the facial features and the tail.

Complete the primary details. Only one ear and one eye can be seen due to the head’s position. Add the relatively large ear laid downwards, covering a quarter of the head. The eye is just right above the level where the muzzle begins to protrude (where a ridge of the head’s outline slightly shifts down).
