âYes, absolutely. The yoni yoga class will happen tomorrow at 3 pm. And again, I'm so sorry for the cancellation.â Mia sat facing one of her guests in the dining hall, reassuring her that the class would resume the next day.
âDo we need to purchase an egg?â the petite, blond woman asked. âIâve heard about the jade eggs, but I've never used one before.â
Mia shook her head. âNo, we supply all of the women in the class with their first egg, and obviously, it's yours to keep. But if for some reason you lose it and want to attend another class, we do sell more at the Visitor Center.â
The guest smiled gratefully. âOh, thank you! That sounds awesome. Ever since I had my hysterectomy, I've wanted to develop my PC muscles, and I've heard so much about the benefits of eggs and yoni yoga.â
Mia nodded enthusiastically. âIt's really awesome; I think you will love the class. What's your name?â
âI'm Yvette.â The woman stuck out her hand, and Mia shook it. âVery nice to meet you. See you tomorrow.â
Mia looked around the dining hall. Dinner was winding down, and many of the guests had left the building to retire to the residence or engage in their nightly routines. Mia was glad that the day was ending; between the flood and the emotional conversation she had with Sophie about Sakura, and having to resist Sophieâs kiss, Mia felt drained.
Mia also felt conflicted about Sophie. She could feel her emotions heighten whenever she was in Sophie's presence, but Mia also recognized that she had a professional responsibility to help her heal. She couldnât stop thinking about Sophieâs lips against her own and the heat of Sophieâs skin as their bodies pressed together in the hug.
Thinking back on the tumultuous days with Sakura, Mia was terrified to make the same mistake again with Sophie. Still, Mia was intrigued, and tonight during dinner, she found herself fantasizing about Sophie and the kiss on the beach. Everything inside her had wanted to take Sophie there and then on the beach and make love to her in every way possible.
It also struck her as strange that she could sometimes feel so alone amidst such a large group of people. During times like this, Mia knew she needed to turn inward to replenish her soul and energy.
She was thinking about what to do next when she saw Lolani enter the hall. Ah, perfect timing! Seeing Lolani always brightens my day. Mia waved, and Lolani strolled towards her. Mia opened her arms to give Lolani a friendly hug. The two coworkers were close, and if there was anyone at the retreat that Mia felt she could trust, it was Lolani.
âHey, how are you? I heard about the flood at the yoga center. Is everything okay?â Lolani asked.
âOh yeah, it's fine. Edena and I were able to clean up, and Edena made some repairs. We should be all set to go by tomorrow.â Mia exhaled and rubbed her face with exhaustion.
