Dear Hallie,

It sucks here. Sorry baby, I wanted to be more positive. But the food is bad and the entertainment worse. There’s this old guy, he must be seventy-odd. Well, he licks his yoghurt pot clean every morning and takes it back to his room. He’s building a replica of Big Ben apparently, although I must say that the likeness is a bit of a stretch.

I’ve been having counselling. Don’t laugh, I know it’s a funny thought after my enthusiastic approach to Luke’s Hakuna Matata shitshow. I talk about you a lot. Your smile, the way you twirl your hair when you’re thinking, how your eyes light up when talking about art. Mandy, my therapist, says everyone needs a North Star. That’s what you are, baby. My North fucking Star.

When I get out of here, I’m going to treat you right. I’ve been a world class asshole and let the drugs come between us, just like I did with Ford. It won’t happen again. This trip, I’m thinking Paris. They have art galleries and shit there too, right? We could see the Mona Lisa then eat continental breakfast off each other - naked of course. Fuck, I’ll work my ass off to get back to you so we can do just that. Keep counting down those days, it won’t be long.
