Kit sent Brock and Locke off to bed with a plate of food for later, then yawned until his jaw popped. Damn. It had been a good day. Even James had set the comms to alarm if anything came up and let their engineer friend fix things while James cuddled with Hank.

Now everyone was off to cuddle more…privately.

He wandered, collecting dishes and turning off lights, and he almost jumped right out of his skin when Mick appeared in front of him. “Hey, baby. Let someone else do the rest of the dishes tomorrow. You did most of them.”

“Someone else.” Right. That was never going to happen. “When all this is over, we should hire a housekeeper.”

“We should. I never realized Carrie did so many dishes.”

“She’s a total mom. She needs to find a nice he-demon and have kids.” They teased that their former admin was more demon than werewolf. But she was such a neat lady.

“Well, we’ll bring in a cleaning service when we’re not worried they’ll stab us in our sleep.”

Kit grinned, but a spurt of real rage at Maldinado surprised him. “You know the only way we’re going to get rid of him is to kill him and his pet shifter.”

“I know. If Brock gets the chance at the kill shot, we give it to him. But any one of us will take him down if we get the chance. Heard?”

“God, yes.” He would rip that bastard’s head off and shit down his neck. The damage he’d done to them was immeasurable. “He’s hurt us. Almost killed us. I hate him.”

“I hear you, baby. We got this, though. He may be brilliant and crazy, but we’re smart, a pack, and we’re going to take him down.”

He wanted to believe it. So he took Mick’s hand when Mick held it out and believed that his lover would browbeat someone into doing dishes too.

Even if that was a stretch.

“So, staying at my place tonight, right?” Mick asked casually.

“If you want me.” Hell, yes. He wanted to be with Mick, sleep with him, love him.

“I do. I was thinking. I mean…” Mick glanced at him sideways. “My place is bigger. And mostly you have electronics.”

Oh.

Oh, wow. Okay.

“We could turn mine into a media room…” He held his breath, hoping he was right.

“We could. Because if we hire another admin we still have empty apartments. Shit, Rey would be over the moon to have a place to do those VR video games he likes.”

Oh, damn, he was right. Hello!

His heart pounded, and he couldn’t stop grinning. “I could totally move my stuff over.”

“We’ll bring your bed, huh? It’s better for if you bear out, but I have a cooler couch.”

“Fair enough. Tomorrow?” He wanted to get that shower, the promise of sleeping together.

“Sounds good. Tonight we just crash.”

“Mmm.” And touch and lick…

“I can hear you, you know.”

“Well, I hope so. That makes it nice, not to have to say it out loud.” Kit winked broadly, making it a parody.

Mick pinched his ass, making him jump.
