Jasmine jerked in her sleep, kicking Henri's leg and breaking him out of his reverie. “Oh,” she said sheepishly, opening her eyes and stretching. “Sorry, I'm just –” and she yawned. “Are we close?”

“The stewardess said we would be there in an hour,” Henri told her.

“Okay,” she said, rubbing her eyes. “Then it's a good time for me to start waking up.” She took out a laptop and put on her glasses. “The bright light helps me to wake up,” she told him as explanation.

“Did you go through any of the reading?” she asked.

“Yes,” Henri said. “Although I'm afraid my understanding hasn't really improved so much. I feel I only know as much as I did before.”

“Hmm,” she hummed to herself as she looked at her laptop. “Maybe I have a video to help explain – do you have your glasses?”

“Yeah,” Henri said, pulling them out of his pocket. He didn't wear them often, preferring to remain visually connected to the world of physical sights and sounds. He put them on to see graphics

extending off the screen of Jasmine's laptop to fill their viewing area. He saw Jasmine searching through folders.

“Huh,” she said as she searched. “I don't remember this file.” Henri saw her hover the cursor over a file entitled 'KoLom.mgai.' “It says this has been here for a while, I wonder where it came from.” She looked over to Henri. “There's really only one way to find out what this is.” She clicked it.

A figure appeared wearing a brown habit. Lo! I have a message for you. I have been waiting, hoping for you to find me here – I am sorry to intrude in such a way, but I was desperate. You can call me Ko Lom – Ko for short. May I proceed with my message? The figure was not identifiably male or female, with pale skin.

Henri and Jasmine looked to each other. “Could anything bad happen?” Henri asked.

“If it's a virus,” Jasmine said, “then it could potentially trash my computer after playing. I've seen this before.”

“I'll let you decide then,” Henri replied.

Jasmine bit her lip. “Very well – proceed with your message.”

The pale figure bowed. I promise only good intentions, but I was forced to hide with a virus. The virus might be dangerous. I could not know. I'm not programmed to know.

“Go ahead,” Jasmine said. Looking to Henri she added “It's just a computer – I don't have any valuable personal information on here.”
