Festive Bean Spread

Ingredients

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans

1 cup salsa

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 pint sour cream

1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix

1 bunch green onions, chopped

2 tomatoes, chopped

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Direction

To prepare the first layer (the bottom layer): Combine garlic powder, cumin, salsa, and beans; spread to a big, flat serving dish in a thin layer, about 1/2-in. thick.

To prepare the second layer (the middle layer): Combine taco seasoning and sour cream; spread onto the bean layer.

To prepare the third layer (the top layer): Sprinkle cheese over, and then put chopped tomatoes and green onions on top.

Use plastic wrap to cover and refrigerate for approximately 60 minutes. Enjoy cold with tortilla chips.
