The atmosphere inside the jet was anything but light or friendly, Sven and Zoltan were sleeping deeply, and she moved left and right on, the oversized seat just to move again minutes later. Reviving Timo had taken her last bits of energy and her only wish now was to get some sleep.

Timo in another seat looked like a zombie, his hands were tightly grabbing the armrest of his chair and he stared at his daughter as if he was waiting for the right time to approach her. “Damm! Two millions man! What the fuck am I going to do with all that money?” He looked at Hope one more time and finally builds the nerve to approach her. He walked to her and shyly stood beside Hope, to give her a back massage.

“Thanks dad” she said with a smile.

“Can I sit with you for a few minutes?” he said and she nodded “…look, I know I might not be the best father in the world, but I love you Hope and I want you to know that if you are in some sort of trouble you can tell me. I will do my best to help you get your ass out of it” he said.

Hope took a deep breath, she knew that the best was to come out clean, but Timo could not keep a secret to save his own life.

“Dad…I am not really in trouble… yet, but I am working on something so huge that it might be the only chance I ever get to do something with my life,” she said.

“Ah! Hope” he said. “You are being too harsh on yourself! You have done a lot in your life, look at all those prices and awards you got, they do not give those to stupid people like me they give it to smarty pants like you,” he said.

His words came out with such pride that they brought up a smile in her.

“I can’t believe at my age I still need your validation!” she said, “I actually feel better now” She took a deep breath “Dad? Do you really think I am boring?” she said.

“Yes!” he said bluntly “…but not much, just a little!” He added with the charm of a kid. “…Sometimes I feel you so far you know, like we are not even related! Hope, I have to ask you something and I want you to tell me the truth” His face took a serious look and he took a deep breath “Are you involved with the mafia?” he said with a smirk.

“See!” she snapped, “I don’t understand that? Why would you like me to get into something wrong? Any other parent would be terrified you know!” she said.

“Hope!” he said. “I am not like any other parent; I have never told you what to do with your life! And why do you think that is? I wanted you to have your own mind and opinions, your own life! And do whatever the fuck you wanted to do with it.
