Double click on a tab to rename it or the plus sign to make a new tab. The entry field can contain text or images if you want. Because this is a separate window, visible if you want wherever you are in the manuscript, it’s ideal for keeping a simple diary about your project (a very good idea however you handle it), making general observations, or as an alternative to the To Do list folder in the custom template that comes with this little book. Another handy use for this is to chart your progress. When I finish work for the week on a Friday I always note down the word count for that day. It’s interesting to compare it with where I was the week before, and sometimes a reassuring reminder that the project is making definite progress.
Do bear in mind that, while Project Notes are part of your Scrivener file, they’re not integrated with your manuscript. There’s no easy way to export them when you come to compile your document. If you want exportable notes, use the notes facility in the Inspector which can be included simply with the rest of the document.
