The music comes up as Winchell goes into a rousing chorus of-
America, I love you,
You're like a sweetheart of mine,
From ocean to ocean,
For you my devotion,
Is touching each boundary line.
Just like a little baby,
Climbing his mother's knee,
America, I love you,
And there's a hundred million
Others like me.

Edwards who had left the stage â enters dressed in a World War I Johnny Doughboy uniform waving a big flag as he marches across the stage.
The boys file in single file marching behind him, waving smaller flags and all singing, "America, I love you. "The band then segues into "Three cheers for the red, white and blue." The four performers march in cadence back and forth across the width of the stage. They finally exit to a wild ovation from an audience that stands up and cheers for a full two minutes.
The reminiscing leaves Jessel with tiny tears filling his eyes. He says, "I believe those were my happiest days. Maybe I still try to relive them by going out with young broads."
Cantor, also sniffling, admits, "If it weren't for Ida and my five kids, I'd go back to those wonderful times in a minute."
Winchell confesses, "I've always been envious of you two guys. You stayed with it and you became stars, I broke my heart trying to hit the big time in Vaudeville â but I just couldn't hit the pitching."
Eddie Cantor can't quite seem to understand this envious confession coming from one of the most influential men in the country.
Georgie Jessel also reminds Winchell, "And Walter, you're still singing 'America, I Love You,' only you're doing it with your typewriter."
