It’s really hard to justify a Palestinian state in the land of Samaria and Judea when the Palestinians had no presence in the region until the mid-1800s AD. The Jews, on the other hand, have had a rich and tumultuous history in the land which spans 4,000 years. It was the Jews who fought the Babylonians in ancient times to defend Jerusalem and the First Jewish Temple; Palestinians as a people group didn’t even exist yet. It was the Jews who fought the Romans in ancient times to defend Jerusalem and the Second Jewish Temple; Palestinians as a people group didn’t even exist yet. It was the Jews who lost Jerusalem to the invading Muslims in 636 AD; Palestinians as a people group didn’t even exist yet.

The Palestinians appear on the world scene beginning in the mid-1800s. Jerusalem was never the Palestinian’s capital because they never had a nation!

Is it any wonder why the Jews lay claim to the land of Israel? If Palestinians wish to live in the land of Israel, at the very least they should respect Israeli law and government.
