EVEN WITH JUST A FEW hours of sleep, Patrick felt invigorated as he started to walk up the hill. He carefully examined the faces of those coming down just in case, and he was not yet halfway up when he spotted Graw. He was pleased when she also stopped and then waited for him to reach her on the other side of the road.

That was not the worst of it, and she doubted Kylie told them that much unless she had to. Kylie would run, she had to and now Graw was torn between betraying a friendâs trust and warning Patrick. In the end, she decided to keep quiet. âDoes your brother love her?â
âNot yet, their marriage was a bit hurried.â
âHurried? Oh do tell me what happened.â
âWell, as near as I can tell, her father...â
