“Don’t come around here again, you ugly slut!”

And then before I can blink, Donna pushes me down the gym stairs As I’m tumbling down, I feel bones breaking and ribs cracking on the hard, tiled stairs. I reach the bottom, and I’m unconscious. I can’t open my eyes or move my body. I’m so scared. All I can hear is Donna’s evil laugh with her friends right by her.

“Aww, poor little slut, she can’t run or hide now, can she?”

As I lie there, I can hear the laugh getting louder and stronger. It sounds like pure evil ringing in my head. I want to move, but I can’t. I try to lift an arm, but my body weight is dead. If I don’t do something, she’ll hurt me, I know she will. So I try and let out a scream for someone to help, and as I do, I feel someone’s breathing in my face. The breath smells of sweet revenge as the warm air hits my nose.

“Bye bye,” the voice says. It’s her! She’s going to kill me. I let out a loud scream, not knowing if anyone can hear me or if the scream is in my head. More clanking noises arise, sounding like a herd of ladies in heels now. How many people are surrounding me? I start to pray. I pray to God to keep me safe, and I promise not to ever do harm to anyone. I pray for forgiveness. Feeling tears come to my eyes as I do.

I gasp for air when I jolt up from my bed, panting hard. I try to catch my breath to calm down, telling myself, “It was all a dream, just a dream.” I look around the room not sure what I’m searching for.d. My shirt is soaked. Alex comes into the bedroom, appearing just as scared as me.

“Baby?” he says inquisitively. “Are you ok?” Frantic, he immediately sits down on the bed with me.

“Yeah, I just had another nightmare. Sorry.” He pulls me close.

“Oh baby, don’t be sorry. I know this is all hard on you too. I just wish…” He pauses. He knows there’s nothing he can say right now that will make what has happened go away. We have been caught, and instead of moving on like a normal relationship, there have been constant threats from Donna towards me at the gym. Not only does she flip me off any chance she can get, she apparently knows where I live now too. So let’s add stalking to the list. Alex tells me they still have accounts together, and she has access to his email, so she found out on Google Maps where I live.

That’s what she told him, which sounds good, but I still think she is crazy enough to stalk him or put a locator on his car. “Who knows? She could have done it while you were asleep or not around,” I remember saying, suggesting to him. Alex has been living with me for about two weeks now, and instead of me being super thrilled, I feel uneasy toward it all.
