Breathe into the center of your heart area and visualize the empowering energy that lives there. Is it brilliantly bright, drawing your inner light outward for the world to behold? Perhaps it feels just the opposite—heavy and dark, as if enclosed by layers of opaqueness that dim its light. Remember during the dark times that even though the light is covered up, it is still there. Use each inhalation to feel your heart area expanding by any amount possible. As you exhale, feel the area around your heart softening, releasing tension and emotion away from your heart center, allowing the radiant light of your true nature to slowly but surely shine through.

Stay in the pose for five minutes, or longer if it feels comfortable and restful. To come out, place your hands palms-down on the floor, and press your trunk up to a seated position.
