I have hardly slept at all. They say the fishing boat has been caught.

The numbers vary all the time. Some say 8,000, others 4,000, and so on. They now say they are going to have a drastic comb out of people in key positions here. Sick people will have to prove 65 per cent disability. The first boats are going on Monday, and Dr Rose and Dr Sutcliffe are going on them. The only doctor to be left here is Dr Wilson who is over age, even Dr Bisson was born in England.

We have heard that they have planned this in the Spring because of the shortage of food. They certainly have been working at the Greffe the whole year and made the most minute enquiries about the birthplace of all the Court in the Spring. Oh it is hell, hell, hell. To think of all those clean, decent, kindly Guernsey people taken away like that.
