A balanced diet is important in providing your body with the fuel for maintaining the strength necessary to deal with Parkinson’s. The stronger the body, the easier it will be. Keeping a nutrition journal for a week is one approach to evaluating your diet. A simple chart of your food intake over a week will give you a better idea of what it takes for a balanced diet.

Everyone is busy in one way or another. Our family’s approach is a set routine; Monday is fish, Tuesday is chicken, Wednesday is pork, Thursday is bison burgers, Friday is pot luck (leftovers), Saturday is chicken again, and Sunday is steak. Variety in how you prepare meals can keep it from feeling routine and boring. For those following a vegan or vegetarian diet, the approach is the same. Simplify your life where possible!
