Positive answers to those questions (let me believe that they will be sincere) indicate the lived experiences of the Deathworld. However, the hidden assumptions of the Deathworld are usually not recognized. Sociologists follow the commonsense rules researching the commonsense concepts of the Deathworld. They follow a distinctive way of thinking and have a distancing attitude to the objects/participants of the research. Even critical sociologists uncover what is already known and given as the primordial reality. It is time to leave “the garden of dead sociologists.” There is a need to uncover the assumptions that caught us in the Deathworld, including social science, but we do not want to uncover its qualities like the Deathworld. These assumptions are the skeleton of the frame trap (Goffman 1974) in which sociologists play their professional games.8

I list the assumptions that are the basis for our lived experiences:

– There are assumptions connected with distinctive thinking: we and they, me and other, inner and outer;

– Culture is the opposite of nature;

– My technology is right, and theirs is wrong;

– Our individualistic democratic system is really democratic, and their collectivistic system is not correct;

– Positive and negative feedback – trust in the equilibrium9 that reduces any deviations by negative reactions;

– There are ethical wars and unethical ones, etc.
