Serves 8

4½–5½ hours on low, total

1 celery rib

½ yellow onion

1 green pepper

3 cloves garlic

1 (14.5-oz.) can no-salt-added diced tomatoes

1 (6-oz.) can no-salt-added tomato sauce

2 cups water

2 cubes reduced sodium chicken bouillon

¼ tsp. pepper

1 tsp. Tabasco sauce (or more to taste)

1 cup long grain rice

2 chicken breasts, cooked and cut into pieces

½ lb. frozen shrimp, thawed

Step out of your flavor comfort zone and try this spicy dish. If you like it hotter, add an extra dash or two of Tabasco sauce.
