Water is essential to life. Store water for a week and develop a plan and backup plan after that. Vessels or containers can be a limiting factor in water storage. I like five gallon buckets for their portability and 55 gallon drums for their capacity. It is a good idea to have some on hand. A good rule of thumb is that each person will use at least a gallon of water a day without bathing. Having 50 gallons of water on hand is easy to accumulate and store. This should be our first goal. After that we will need a to find a water source and be able to filter or purify the water. The containers that held our 50 gallon supply should be recycled for this.
