A Detailed Description of the Cosmic Ordering Process
When a person can make a wish without worry or attachment to the outcome, the wish will immediately be granted.
Some yoga enthusiasts try to go into a trance by hanging upside down from their feet in order to reach a state in which they can program their unconscious to manifest the things they want in their lives. But the truth is: if you think you need a complicated ritual to “call up” the universe, then, by definition, you do; otherwise, you don't!
However, if you “order” with the universe in a totally unsuspecting and matter-of-fact way, and then forget about the order all together, you will get the best results. You can, for example, write down your order and in the middle of the night read it to the universe through your open window, or from your porch, if that better fits your romantic inclination. If you feel funny about putting in an order with the universe and think that nobody will be able to hear you, imagine that you are talking into an imaginary cell phone that has a direct connection to the universe.
That's it. Done!
This is an essential point: It is important that you are, indeed, completely done with the order. Avoid going back the next day and secretly thinking to yourself: “Hey, you guys up there in the heavens, did anyone even listen to me last night? Just to be on the safe side, here is my order again.” Two hours later: “Maybe it will work even better if I send along some extra energy for my order.” Just before going to sleep: “And don't forget, you guys on high . . . are you sure you've gotten my order right?” A week later: “Is my order on its way, yet? Hello, Universe, can you hear me?” ... or whatever you may be thinking. Just think about what the underlying concept is when you do these things. You are assuming that the universe can't do its job and is bungling your order. Otherwise you wouldn't constantly be calling up there and checking on it.
You should scrap your doubts around these as-of-yet unexplained energies, and instead treat the universe no worse than any other ordering service. Furthermore, the universe is not a guru to whom you go to beg and whine (which, by the way, gurus don't like, either), but an energy source. Imagine for a minute that you have mailed an order to one of our worldly mail-order companies, and the following day you send them a fax to confirm that your order was received. Then you follow up with them on your order via phone three more times. A worldly mail-order company may tolerate this kind of pestering behavior and keep you in their files for a while because, after all, they want your money.
But the laws of the universe work a little differently: Your order manifests through your belief, your trust, your lack of doubts, and through the process of mentally letting go and forgetting your order.
