Book Birth Announcement (and a not-so-subtle plea for your unabashed support!)

HELP … again to re-create the book sales BUZZ. Once again, I am coming to you for HELP … to launch The Confidence Factor — Cosmic Gooses Lay Golden Eggs.

Endorsements have been received from Chicken Soup's Jack Canfield, business guru Tom Peters, best-selling author Susan RoAne, activist Sarah Weddington and Washington Post columnist Judy Mann — just to mention a few. Judy Mann wrote a wonderful column on April 4th recommending the book.

Eleven years ago, the original “baby” was born … The Confidence Factor — How Self-Esteem Can Change Your Life. It has consistently been my most popular speech since 1990.

Mile High Press is the publisher and the publishing date is May 1. The cover (and contents) are terrific — all 170 pages of it; feedback from readers excellent — they love the quick read. Procter & Gamble is using it in the promotion of the new Downy Wrinkle Releaser (because of the book, I'm its national spokesperson).

Books are rarely in the store … so I need your help in calling your favorite bookstores and requesting it — (it's posted on Amazon.com and bn.com). Ask any author, and she or he will tell you that publishing is odd — we often wonder if publishers really want to sell books. We authors do know that we all can make the difference by getting the word out!

We are mounting a media campaign for papers, magazines, radio, TV, and the Internet that will cover several months. But it's my friends, family, and colleagues that help the most. You make that difference.
