In this section we’ll take a look at why either your weight loss is stalling or you are gaining weight on Banting, and what you can do about it.
A weight-loss stall is when you do not lose any body fat for more than two consecutive weeks. Sometimes you just need to tweak and adjust a little bit to speed things up again. Remember that you didn’t gain all that weight in two weeks. It took you a long time to gain it and it may take you a long time to lose it. Any loss is greater than no loss, as long as it’s consistent.
Remember, you don’t have to walk this road alone. We have a support system in place to help you recognise and correct pitfalls; all it takes is a consultation with us either online or face to face. Whenever you feel that you cannot deal with the issues on your own, you know where to find help (see page 171).
