Adult supervision required

Swinging arm alert: Watch out for moving arms or levers
Sharp and/or heavy tool advisory: Project requires use of saw or hammer
Flying object alert: Use care when aiming and firing
A traction catapult is powered by human muscles. Typically, it consists of a pole or lever arm that pivots. A person pulls down as hard as possible on the shorter end, which makes the longer end spin very fast. The fast-moving end is capable of shooting a projectile much farther and higher than a person could ever simply throw it.
