Beef Stew

Serves 2-4

1 ½ - 2 pounds of beef stew meat cut into spoon size pieces

4 potatoes, peeled and cut to spoon size pieces

1 medium Onion, peeled, cut to spoon size pieces

1-2 cloves garlic, minced

3 carrots, peeled and chopped in about 1” pieces

3 T Balsamic vinegar or Worcestershire sauce

1 envelope brown gravy mix

1 32oz. Container Beef broth

Flour for meat

4 Tablespoon Olive oil

S & P to taste, com starch to thicken

Put flour, S & P into gallon storage bag and add meat, shaking to fully coat. Heat olive oil and brown meat on all sides. Add broth, vinegar gravy mix and stir to get all the tidbits off the bottom. Put in 6 qt. Crock pot and add the remaining ingredients. Cook covered for 4-6 hours. Thicken with com starch as desired.
