WHEN TO WORKOUT
Some people prefer working out first thing in the morning while others prefer after work or in the evening. If you prefer a gym to home workouts, a gym near your office might be convenient. You might even choose to train during your lunch break. There are many options but you should pick the one you can best rely on to do on a regular basis.
Research shows that morning is the best time to workout. Exercising first thing in your day can improve motivation, sleep, and weight management. It wakes you up, shakes off any sluggishness from the night before. Finally, you are not tired from work or your day’s activities when you workout early.
Research also shows that those who exercise in the morning are more likely to stick to it.
Morning activity improves the sleep cycle the following night and a good night’s sleep is important to successful weight loss and maintenance.
Morning exercise can reduce unwanted snacking by lowering appetite later in the day. This is helpful if you want to lose some fat off your body to better show your muscles.
An early workout removes the possibility that obstacles will appear during the day and keep you from your workout. Many have good intents but find there is no time left to workout later in the day.
You can enjoy the sunrise if you have a view from your workout space.
In summer or in hot countries, you will be able to enjoy cooler air in the morning before the temperature gets hot.
You will start the day on the positive note of knowing you have done something good for your body. This can lead to continuing to make good choices throughout the day.
A workout in the morning will boost your metabolism for several hours and you will burn more calories throughout the morning.
What’s the best time of day to workout? … Regardless of the above, it’s the time that you know will work best for your unique circumstances.
