CHAPTER SIX

“Hello,” Shelby said answering her home phone. She was actually shocked to hear it ring because everyone called her on her cell.

“Hey, Sexy,” Logan said. He was standing on Shelby’s front stoop with two dozen pink roses, a six pack of beer, his gardening gloves and his very own pruning scissors. Shelby had told him she was going to start working on her garden today when he was helping her with her physical therapy. Logan and Shelby were spending all of their free time together. They still had not made love since she had gotten home from the rehab center. Logan had a severe case of aquamarine balls that were out of this world. Actually, he was about three steps past blue balls, but he was willing to take his time. Logan knew that Shelby was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He still struggled with the classism differences of her world and his but Logan was going to do everything he could to deal with his “issues” as Lance liked to put it so that Shelby knew he would never hurt her.

“Hi, Logan!” Shelby said. “How are you?”

“Well, I was doing fine until I drove past your house and I saw flowers on your porch,” Logan said.

“Is there something I should know about, Shelby?” he finished trying not to laugh.

“What?” Shelby said walking to her front door. When she opened it and saw Logan standing there, she threw herself into his arms kissing him. Logan picked her up and carried her into the house and closed the door.

“Well, damn!” Logan said in pleased shock, “if I had known that was the type of response I could get, I would have brought you a six pack every day,” he finished teasing her.

Shelby slapped him on the chest and took the roses from him to put them in a vase. Smiling as she walked to the kitchen, she said, “Oh shut up, you know that I am thanking you for the flowers,” she said sniffing them. Shelby was wearing a pair of black yoga pants and a crop t-shirt that said Bow down To the Curves across the chest. When she turned around to walk into the kitchen, Logan was treated to a beautiful shot of her deliciously thick round ass. His dick was instantly hard; Shelby was not what society would say was sexy but to him she was almost too sexy because of the softness of the curves in her body when she wrapped her arms about him. Logan took every opportunity to grab her hips and pull her close. She always smelled of hyacinth, lilacs, and coconuts. Just looking at her now standing there with small amount of sweat on her skin from her workout, she looked like a delicious piece of chocolate slowly melting in the sun. Logan turned to sit the beers on the table to adjust himself so Shelby would not know what he was thinking. Logan loved Shelby inside and out and he wanted her to know that.
