Chapter 11

Jacob took Kasa slow, even though in the back of his mind, his wolf spirit drove him to a more frantic, wilder, pace. He savored the feel of her slick heat, the way she clenched around him, and her throaty moans.

This was for him, the heat of her, loving her.

Thrusting balls deep, needing to drive himself deeper inside her, and make her one with him.

Several times his vision blurred as his wolf pressed to see her. The way her head arched back and exposed her neck to him. His jaw ached with the effort to hold back his wolf as his canines slipped down with an urged to mark her.

“Kasa.”

Wastelakapi, his wolf whispered, beloved.

Kasa turned her head. Her dark hair spilled over the pillow. “Mark me.”

His felt his release building. He lowered his head, licking the spot he intended to mark her. She arched, pressing those soft, sexy, breast against his chest. His wolf whispered words of affirmation, love, and vows of protection over her and her young. He knew she heard the wolf inside him, her legs curling tighter around him. In a place for all to see, at the curve of her neck, he bit her.

His cock jerking and his own pleasure unleashing as he filled her. He wasn’t sure how it would work, his claim on her flesh and her soul.

Jacob’s heart stilled a moment before it lurched to beat again, this time in the same erratic rhythm of the woman clutching him from beneath.

Still locked together, his wolf spirit burned through his blood, heated the tattoo on his arm, and hissed with satisfaction.

In his head, the drums, ancient chants, and the sigh of his mate echoed.

He kissed his bite, licked over the wound to seal it.

His head jerked up when he realized the only mark on her smooth skin had been his.

As if she read that thought, Kasa turned her head the other way. He rested his forehead on her shoulder, trying to catch his breath.

His wolf spirit called him to the movement in the room next to him. Silently, he swore. Kasa’s brow raised.

“Nap time is over.” He lifted his head, his eyes locked on hers.

He felt it, like the first time his wolf took residence within him, the stretching and merging of spirit and soul. Only a piece of him was missing. A shard of his brother’s spirit he’d held close to his heart all these years had left him. He saw it in the flicker of Kasa’s eyes. She would never share this kind of bound—soul mates and spirit halves—with anyone else, except him.

He rolled to the side, keeping Kasa in his arms, stroking over her collarbone. His mark still fresh on his mate.

“Things will be different now.”

“You are an amazing woman.” He kissed her, a kiss filled with passion keeping it short. The last thing he wanted to do was put distance between them. His arms tightened around her as she kissed him back.

“Kasa, babe. We have to stop. The girls…”

She sighed again, her lips as reluctant to leave his as his were to part from their sweet indulgence.
