Technical resources and support

Few individuals or organisations will possess all of the skills needed to undertake a rainforest restoration project from scratch without technical resources and support. Fortunately, governments at all levels realise this and provide a wealth of technical support and extension advice (generally free of charge to the group) for worthy projects. This is where your earlier networking and discussion with the relevant organisations and staff will pay off (Chapter S3: Social theory and philosophy). The Useful contacts section lists some of the areas where you will probably require assistance and who can help (as do the Teaching Materials file on the CD-ROM). Most assistance is free, unless you require a lot of help or the advice comes from consultants.
